It’s my day off! And on days I take a break, I read a book or watch K-dramas. Due to the fact that I’ve been either sleeping or reading books, I haven’t seen any Korean dramas in a while, therefore I’ve decided to write about one Korean drama right now. I recently completed watching this drama on Netflix, and I really want to do a review about it.

Seo Kang Jun, Gong Seung Yeon, Lee Joon Hyuk, Park Hwan-hee, and Kim Sung-ryung feature in the South Korean drama “Are You Human Too?” Despite the fact that I was unfamiliar with several of the actors in this Kdrama, I opted to watch it.

📽️Synopsis from Wikipedia📽️

The drama started when Oh Laura, a renowned scientist, was forced to part with her young son, Nam Shin. To cope with her loss, over the years, she builds various AI robots modelled after him, naming them Nam Shin I, II and III. Decades later, after surviving an attempt on his life, Nam Shin slips into a coma. To protect his position as the heir to a chaebol, Laura sends Nam Shin III to take his place and fulfil his duties.

Kang So-bong was a member of Nam Shin’s security detail until she was disgracefully dismissed. She becomes Nam Shin III’s bodyguard, determined to get to the bottom of his strange comments and behaviour. However, she gets more than what she’d bargained for when she starts falling for him – and has to keep him safe from the people who’d tried to murder Nam Shin.

📽️My reaction to this drama📽️

As I previously stated, I am unfamiliar with the major characters in this drama, but I have grown to like their chemistry here. I even modified their image to post it on my blog.

Anyhow, this show is fantastic. I adored the tale. The AI, known as the Nam Shin, was very extraordinary. He doesn’t have the same mentality as the actual Nam Shin, and how I wanted he would take his position. Yes, I am aware that he had a terrible childhood, but there were occasions when the drama became too much for him to manage. Also shocking to me was what he did in the airport. I don’t like him at all. I preferred him more as an AI.

I really like how this story took unexpected turns. You may also speculate that given current technology, they may have also created an AI similar to this that we are unaware of (haha). I apologize for my overactive imagination, but I can’t help it. In any case, I wholeheartedly suggest it to everyone who enjoys watching K-dramas.

My Overall Rating: ❤️❤️❤️❤️(4/5)
